To request cancellation, contact support@day-sure.co.uk and provide your full name, policy number and the reason for your cancellation request.
We may need to verify your identity before making changes to a policy or processing a refund.
2. Your policy terms
Cancellation rights, charges and refunds depend on the product, policy wording, cover period, when cover begins and whether any claim, incident or loss has occurred.
The policy schedule, policy wording and any pre-contract information explain the cancellation terms that apply to your specific policy. Please read those documents carefully.
3. Cooling-off rights
Some consumer insurance policies may include a cancellation period. The exact cancellation rights, any charges and any refund entitlement will depend on the policy type and the terms provided before purchase.
Temporary policies may start shortly after purchase and may expire quickly. Where cover has already started, a deduction may be made for the period of cover provided, and some policies may have limited or no refund entitlement once cover has begun.
4. Before cover begins
If cancellation is requested before cover starts, any refund and any administration charge will be determined by the applicable policy terms and legal requirements.
5. After cover begins
Where cancellation is permitted after cover begins, a deduction may be made for the period of cover already provided and for any lawful, clearly disclosed administration charge.
6. Claims and incidents
A claim, loss or incident during the period of cover may affect cancellation and refund entitlement. The applicable policy wording will govern this.
7. Refund method and timing
Any approved refund will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider, card issuer or bank.
If a payment has already been refunded through the payment provider, it may take several working days to appear on your statement.
